Amanda Newall: Habeo

Opening Reception: monday June 6, between 9am and10am

Amanda Newall's installation Habeo adds interactive spark to an urban setting in Stockholm's city center!

The garment enactment will be in the form of artist hoodies, each with individual titles and stories. These hoodies will be exhibited in an exhibition space that is open and accessible for all. Within this hoodie edition, Newall has collaborated with artists Olav Westphalen @olavwestphalen on the Moai Emoji and Bigert & Bergström on the Heat Dome Hoodie, Newall herself created the Blue Ted hoodie.

In the near future Newall intends to extend her artist hoodie collaboration to involve other artists of interest, with a conceptual underpinning and or a sense of intimacy and storytelling.

Habeo at Kl. 9 is the first edition in the hoodie series and will activate a mundane site and filter into the surrounding public sphere to spark discussions for everyone passing by.

The audience are invited to hire out the garments and document them in use, further contributing to the artwork and ensuing discussion. Please contact Jenny Danielsson 0704 742037 for more information or amanda.newall@gmail.com
